Silver Creek Recycling hosts School Tours!
Students receive an educational explanation of the metal recycling industry – what we do, why it’s important, and the impact it has. We often receive comments from parents about how much they learned and enjoy the tour! We include activity sheets and encourage students to participate in a hands-on activity inside our shop to learn about different types of metal and their properties.
We draw one lucky student’s name from a “hat” to participate in a CAR CRUSH! The lucky student gets to press the remote to engage the car crusher and actually crush a car! The students watch from the bus and enjoy shouting “Crush That Car!”
All students and adults on the tour are treated to Swirls ice cream!
